Taco Dip

November 23, 2011 By Jennifer @ PB and P Design 9 Comments

Good morning,

Well I spent my Tuesday, working on cookies for the Blog Cookie Swap, still not sure what I want to make.  I did create a cookie that tastes pretty awesome, I’ll share the recipe with you at a later date, I want to get more opinions to see what they think before I share it with you.

Every week I like to create a dip, so I have something to nibble on throughout the day.  This week I created a yummy, easy taco dip.  I had it on my chicken wrap and I also dipped my veggies into it.  Tomorrow I’ll be making a Mexican type Burger, so I’ll be using my dip on that too!

I just love snacky foods, especially when you can use them for more then one purpose.  I bet this dip would be good on a baked potato too!

This dip has a slight kick to it, but you can give it more of a kick if you like by adding more jalapenos or spicy salsa.

You could also double batch this recipe and use it for a holiday party or football party.  If serving at a party I would top it with cheese, maybe some black olives and some diced tomatoes.  Serve it with some nacho chips or pita chips.

Taco Dip

2.5 oz Fat Free Cream Cheese (softened)

5 Jalapenos- Pickled in Jar

1/4 Cup Salsa

2tsp. Taco Seasoning

1/4 tsp. Garlic Powder

1 Cup Non-fat Plain Greek Yogurt

Directions:

In a mini food processor add cream cheese, jalapenos and taco seasoning, pulsate a couple of times.  Add salsa, garlic powder and Yogurt and process until smooth and combined.

Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Topping Options:  Black Olives, Mexican Cheese & Tomatoes

Serving Size: 8 – 1/4 Cup Servings

Calories per 1/4 Cup:  30,  Fat:  .01,  Sodium:  144,  Potassium:  33,  Carbs:  2.8,  Sugar: 1.1, Protein:  4

Enjoy!

This dip is very creamy, easy to make and healthy!!  Love that it has 4 grams of protein.

So today will be Thanksgiving prep, well making my stuffing and cranberry sauce.  This year it’s just my Husband and I. 🙁   We will have a lot of food leftover so be prepared for left over recipes, unless he eats all the turkey!  But the stuffing is mine, Baby!  Whats your favorite Thanksgiving Dish?  As you can tell mine is stuffing!!

Have a great day!  I’m off to Trader Joe’s for the 100th time this week!

MMMM…this dip sounds yummy! Maybe I’ll make it during the holiday rush, when I don’t have time to sit and eat a full meal. This way I can dip some veggies in it.

I love ALL Thanksgiving day foods…we normally have enough leftovers for the whole weekend!

Hi Friends! I am absolutely loving Proven Winner Hi Friends!

I am absolutely loving Proven Winners’ Truffula Pink Globe Amaranth (Gomphrena pulchella)! This is my first year growing it, and I’m already thinking it will be back in the garden next year. 💗

It has the cutest bright pink, globe-shaped flowers, and this little flower loves the heat! When temperatures hit the mid-90s, the Truffula Pink really shines. ☀️

Oddly enough, I don’t get many monarch butterflies in my garden, but I had some visit this week—and they were hanging out on the Truffula Pink Gomphrena! 🦋💗

For that reason alone, I’ll definitely be growing it again next year!

🌸 Truffula Pink Globe Amaranth
• Annual
• Zones 9a–11b
• Height: 22–28”
• Spread: 22–26”
• Full sun ☀️
• Drought tolerant
• Pink flowers
• Great in containers or planted directly in the ground
• Low maintenance
• No deadheading required

Have you grown Truffula Pink Gomphrena? 🌸🦋

My stepdaughter and I explored the flower farm, enjoyed lunch, made dried-flower wreaths, and discovered this peaceful little hidden gem in Northern California. We even spotted deer and monarch butterflies! 🦌🦋

There is so much to see and do here, and I highly recommend adding Park Winters to your Northern California day-trip list! 💐

Look at this river of pink! Supertunia Vista Bubblegum by Proven Winners burst with flowers this week.
🌸
During July Garden tour, my petunias were looking sad, hardly any flowers. I said how disappointed I was. I followed all the Supertunia rules, spray with BT and fertilize. Then I made a little bit stronger concotion of BT Spray and a few days later, the plant rewarded me with beautiful pink blooms.
🌸
Have the best day!

Happy Monday! I’m sharing with you a rare view of Happy Monday! I’m sharing with you a rare view of my kitchen. What’s so rare about it! It’s clean. 🤣
.
So this weekend our refrigerator broke. The freezer no longer works and the fridge is not getting cool enough. Ugh!! We bought our Whirlpool refrigerator about 4 years ago and spent near $3000 for it. It sure didn’t last long.
.
After reading reviews on a million refrigerators, they all seem like crap. I need your help! Do you have a refrigerator that you recommend?
.
I saw a Frigidaire one that we are debating on, but not sure? The reviews are good, but says, they were collected from a promotion. So I’m not sure how much I trust that? Anyway, any recommendations that you have would be great!
.
Have a great day!
